This website
This website sets no cookies and uses no audience measurement tool. The playable Plouf Pop! demo only loads if you press “Play here”: it then opens the web version of the game (ploufpop.ezael.net), described below. Like any host, OVH keeps technical logs (IP address, date, requested page) for security, for a limited time.
The Plouf Pop! game
On your device
- Your game (levels, stars, pearls, aquarium, settings) is stored in the app’s or the browser’s memory.
- Reminders (Android app, if you turn them on) are worked out and scheduled on your phone; nothing is sent for them. You can turn them off in Settings › Gentle reminders.
On the game server (ploufpop.ezael.net)
- A randomly drawn player ID and a sign-in key, of which only a fingerprint is stored. In the web version, this key is kept in a technical cookie the game needs to work; in the app, in the app’s memory.
- A copy of your game, so you can get it back and move it between the website and the app.
- The type of device (phone, tablet or computer), the game version, and when your play sessions start and end.
- Anonymous game statistics: levels cleared or left, time spent, number of moves, undos or hints. They help us tune the difficulty. You can turn them off at any time: Settings › Share my games.
- The community, only if you join it: a nickname drawn at random from sea names (never your real name), the shoal you chose, the number of fish you freed for the Great Tide, messages in bottles (a message picked from a list, no free text), your aquarium as other players can visit it (scenery, the name you gave your otter) and the cheer bubbles you gave.
- Feedback you choose to send (rating, difficulty, comments), with the level reached and the type of device. Please don’t write personal information in it.
- Game transfer codes, valid for 15 minutes and deleted afterwards.
What we don’t collect
No name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos or advertising ID. Players can’t write to each other freely: nicknames are generated and messages are picked from a list.
Why, and on what basis
- Running the game, saving and moving your game: providing the service you use.
- The community: your choice to join it.
- Anonymous statistics and feedback: our legitimate interest in improving the game; you can object at any time in the settings.
Recipients and hosting location
The data is only read by the publisher. It is hosted in France by OVH SAS, acting as a processor. It is never sold, rented or shared with third parties, and it doesn’t leave the European Union. If you install the game from Google Play, Google processes download-related data under its own policies.
How long we keep it
Game data is kept while the game is in service, or until you ask us to delete it. Transfer codes are deleted as soon as they are used or expire.
Deleting your data
- On your device: Settings › Erase my progress removes your game from the app or the browser.
- On the server: email contact@ezael.net with your nickname, or simply send “delete my data” from the game’s Feedback button: that message lets us find your game without any other information. Deletion is done within 30 days.
Children
Plouf Pop! asks for no personal information and doesn’t let players chat freely with each other.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you can access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its use, object to its processing or ask for a copy: write to contact@ezael.net. You can also file a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
Changes
This policy may change as the game evolves. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
